INTRODUCTION
Every foreign student will have a personal Fellow Student Tutor to help him to adjust to Finnish society and the academic environment. Counselling and advice in all study matters are offered by the academic departments and the Academic Affairs Office. In the departments each teacher has office hours, during whichstudents may enquire,for example, about teaching arrangements or the contents of a specific course.
The Academic Affairs Office issues various kinds of student certificates, handles various applications and gives general advice on study matters. Advice regarding degrees and degree programmes and the planning of studies is available from the Student Counsellor and Student Affairs Officers in the Academic Affairs Office.
