ASSESSMENT AND REGISTRATION OF CREDIT UNITS
![]()
Exam results are announced within 30 working days after the exam date. The assessment criteria are public and the student may enquire about these from the examiner. A student may have a look at his own answer papers and get a copy of them by visiting the examiner during his office hour. The exam results are displayed on notice boards at the departments. The Academic Affairs Office has copies of the result sheets, which also include the names of the students who have failed a course. Credits for entire courses are registered in the credit record at the Academic Affairs Office. Courses that include compulsory written exercises or other partial credit units will be registered only when all parts have been completed. For this reason it is important that the student, whenever possible, completes the course and all its parts simultaneously.
The student either fails or passes a course. Students who pass a course will receive one of three grades: excellent (E), good (H) or satisfactory (T). Some courses are given on a pass/fail basis without any further grading. In this case the mark ¥passed¥ appears on the transcript. Every course examination taken is registrated on the computer. Students can have a look at their own credit record via a computer connection. Official transcripts can be ordered from the Academic Affairs Office.
