ACQUISITION AND TESTING |

- To study and test the acquisition of Finnish both as mother tongue
and as second / foreign language in different teaching situations
and by means of different teaching methods
- To promote the teaching of Finnish as mother tongue and as second
/ foreign language
Seminars etc.:
- The annual VAKKI seminar at Vöyri in April (jointly with the
other Departments of the Faculty of Humanities)
- Postgraduate seminar during the academic year
Work in progress includes the following doctoral and licentiate

- Marjatta Elomaa: Kielikylpylasten äidinkieliset kirjoitelmat
(doctoral thesis).
- Anita Åstrand: Vieraskielinen opetus ja sanaston kehitys.
