Studies

In Faculty of Business Studies you can study Accounting and Finance, Business Law, Economics, Management and Organisation, Marketing or International Business. There is also study programmes designed especially for international students.

 

Student Life in Vaasa

The University community comprises 5 149 students, 2191 of them studies in Faculty of Business Studies. Every year 210 new students will be chosen to study business in the University of Vaasa. There are already some 12 000 students in Vaasa, for there is a plentiful supply if housing and leisure activities.

 

 

Campus Area

The University of Vaasa occupies Finland’s newest campus area by the sea, a combination of coastal landscaping, modern architecture and converted industrial buildings. The University offers a modern study environment with up-to-date computer and other technical facilities. From the student restaurant in the main building there is a magnificent view of the surrounding natural scenery and the sea.

 

 

An International University

The University of Vaasa has contacts around the world; foreign universities for student and teacher exchange, and also for research and educational co-operation. Every year some 160 students go abroad for some of the studies required for their degree programmes. Approximately 100 foreign students arrive on exchanges of indeed to take entire degree programmes. The University of Vaasa provides an international atmosphere and a beautiful maritime campus setting, efficient tutoring and a lively social environment in addition to a wide range of courses offered in English.

The employment prospects for graduates are good; 76% of those graduating with master’s degree in 2002 found jobs immediately.
