The basic elements of TS and TW are objects (of reference),
concepts,
the characteristics of concepts, concept relations and systems, terms and other
concept presentations (definitions, LSP phrases, non-verbal representations), and
the relations between concepts and terms (e.g., synonymy, polysemy,
mononymy, homonymy, equivalence). As an interdisciplinary field, TS encounters
certain problems when it comes to its own terms and concepts, since it has
borrowed many them from various fields and adapted them to its specific needs.
