Remarks

There can be two or even three good bands available at the given hour! Please check the Reliability chart and VOACAP analysis for details. The following procedure has been applied for selecting the best frequency:

  1. Choose the band that is on or below the MUF (WARC bands are ignored.)
  2. Then choose the best band by evaluating the highest SNR and SNRxx values (in the VOACAP analysis) so that the SNR value is equal or greater than 27 dB-Hz.

Note, however, that you may achieve a more optimistic set of results by evaluating first highest SNR and SNRxx, and then checking whether the MUF is near (and even somewhat below) the band of your choice.

The band is marked in MHz. "-" means either that the propagation path is not open or that the predicted value for the given path is less than the required value of 27 dB-Hz on available bands (excluding WARC bands).
