"A Pontryagin space model for soliton potentials "
Dr. Annemarie Luger
Abstract.
The classical (one-dimensional) Schrödinger operator with potential can be seen as an additive
perturbation of the second derivative operator.
For a certain class of potentials we are considering the following problem: Find a domain
perturbation (more precisely, a generalized point interaction) leading to the same scattering data.
It turns out that there exists a solution only if Pontryagin spaces are involved. However, it need
not be unique, which will be illustrated with the help of soliton solutions of the Korteweg-de Vries
equation.
This talk is based on joint work with Pavel Kurasov (Lund).
