Problems with a program and/or finding the author's address.

If you are reporting that a program on Garbo archives does not work properly and is thus useless, we thank you for your report. We'll consider removing the program if the problem is severe and persistent. We would appreciate if you also contacted the author.

If, on the other hand, you wish to have free consultation from Garbo about using a third party program, that is out of the question. Why? Please see the item "Whom to contact about problems with Garbo? " and "What is Garbo's future? ".

Sorry, no. I used to maintain such a list, but I discontinued updating it long ago. It was too difficult to get the authors to provide the information to keep it up to date. Therefore, you'll have to make do with the information contained within the package. If the address is out of date, there are some excellent search engines on the net listed on Timo's collection of http links, Part 2 .

Please advise me how to use this program which I downloaded from Garbo archives.

Especially if you are asking about a third party program (a program not by yours truly), sorry, no. Even if I were familiar with the program (unlikely), I can't take the time to provide that kind of a personal consultation service. Instead, please try the following:

• See the program's documentation, if included.
• Try asking the actual author, if the address is given.
• Search the web.
• Put the question to a suitable Usenet newsgroup.
