If you are using a WWW browser like Netscape, make sure to get a new version of the relevant file list rather than the old one from your local cache. If necessary, clear the memory and disk caches and then reload the index anew. This goes as well as for downloading the file lists as for connecting directly to Garbo directories.
Many users get files from Garbo's mirrors all around the world. If the announcement is recent, the file may not yet be at a mirroring site if you try to get the file from a Garbo mirror. Besides, the mirror might be lacking some of the file sections. Any errors and deficiencies at a Garbo mirror are solely the mirror's and its administration's problems.
Errors in the announced file name or the directory path at Garbo are very uncommon, even if the "hand-written" file lists can quite well have errors. For example Garbo's upload announcement "thank you" notes are made semi-automatically to prevent the possibility of typing errors. The only, very rare case, where there actually might be a discrepancy between the file index and the name of the file at Garbo, is if you have managed to contact Garbo at very the moment when an update of the file list is being created by Garbo's scripts right after an update. Such a problem should normally disappear within a minute. Reload the index.
