Could I be of assistance in maintaining the Garbo archives?

I understand that you are having problems with there not being enough personnel resources to maintain Garbo the way you would like to. Is there anything I can do? I would be happy to assist in testing and adding programs to Garbo archives.

That is extremely generous of you. We occasionally get these highly appreciated offers from the friends of Garbo archives. Unfortunately, I am unable to take up your friendly offer. It is a policy of the university's computer centre (and I agree) that Garbo archivists should be located at and employed by, or otherwise closely attached to the University of Vaasa, Finland.
