Why Timo doesn't answer your email (or answer the way you would prefer)

1. As you might have seen one version of my signature ends with this notification:
   

   Spam foiling in effect. My email filter autoresponder will return a required email password to users not yet in the privileges database.

   To prevent email loops the required password is emailed to you from a void /dev/null address null@uwasa.fi. You mistakenly sent your next email there. My email address is ts(ät)uwasa.fi (replace the (ät) with an @). Or perhaps your email just got caught in an email filter on its way.
    
   
2. Your address is non-returnable for some reason or another. Like maybe you have added extra characters into your address.
    
   
3. Your email is not in straight text format. I prefer my email in straight text format so that I have the option to read it with programs like UNIX Mutt. I have decided not to go trough the extra trouble of deciphering your email with another email program which would understand e.g. HTML-only content. I do not always process my email with just Thunderbird or webmail.
    
   
4. Your email included a suspect attachment. My email filter might automatically have discarded your email.
    
   
5. Your email is anonymous and I decided to discard it. I am not overly keen on corresponding with total strangers who do not show the elementary courtesy of properly introducing themselves.
    
   
6. You are in fact asking me to invest my time in one-sided free consultation over the net. Please instead see the FAQ material like

7. Your English or your question is incomprehensible. I regret it, but I do not have the time for games of guessing and asking for clarifications if you are unable to initiate a contact with an elementary degree of clarity. If you are a non-English speaker you might find these general tips  useful.
    
   
8. You one-sidedly want programming or other help, as per the items above, and stubbornly refuse to take a polite no for an answer. If I am persistently thus pestered, I'll use my automatic filters to direct the offender's email to /dev/null without further notice.
    
   
9. You wish to argue with me about something that has happened on the Usenet news. Please take the argument back to the newsgroup. I have reserved my email for professional and other productive purposes, only.
    
   
10. Considering the amount of email, maybe I just cannot find the time or the motivation to customize a personally customized response.
